Description

Hawthorn – herbal extract, used as a special food additive for different diseases of cardiovascular system, impairment of renal hemodynamics, cerebral circulation and general microcirculation.

Trade name: Hawthorn.

Pharmaceutical form: herbal extract.

Composition of the vegetable extract: Crataegus sanguinea – Crataegus sanguinea Pall.

Pharmacological effect:
on circulatory and cardiovascular systems: cardiotonic (improving the heart muscle, the drugs plants prevent premature fatigue); increases the strength of heart contractions; hypotensive (lowers blood pressure); removes cardiac arrhythmias and normalizes heart rhythm; selectively dilates coronary vessels and vessels of the brain that allows to improve the oxygen supply of the myocardium and brain neurons; eliminates unpleasant sensations in the heart; reduces cholesterol level in the blood; reduces the excitability of the cardiac muscle and provides an antiarrhythmic effect.
on the nervous system: sedative; reduces the excitability of the central nervous system; normalizes sleep (causes a deep, restful and long sleep without causing mental oppression after waking).
on other organs and systems: antispasmodic; desensitizing; stimulates metabolism; normalizes the general condition; promotes recovery after a serious illness; increases lactation and removes dyspeptic symptoms in infants.

Indications:
1. Diseases of the circulatory system and the cardiovascular system:  functional disorders of cardiac activity; hypertension; angina; atrial fibrillation; paroxysmal tachycardia; atherosclerosis; arteriosclerosis; cardioneurosis; angioneurosis; vegetative neurosis.
2. Diseases of the nervous system: climacteric neurosis; insomnia; migraine.
3. Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract: neurosis of the esophagus; liver disease; biliary tract disease.
4. Diseases of other organs and systems: skin diseases; hyperthyroidism; dizziness; shortness of breath; asthma; hypogalactia..

Special warnings: individual intolerance to the components of the preparation.

Administration: to be administered on doctor’s recommendations.

Dosage a: recommended dose is 10 drops, 3 times a day to be taken with 30 ml of still non-mineral water in 30 min before meals. Duration of treatment 4-12 weeks.
