Description

Cardiophilum  is a vegetable ethanolic extract used as a special food additive for different cardiovascular diseases.

Trade name: Cardiophilum.

Pharmaceutical formа: drops.

Composition of the vegetable extract: common hawthorn fruits, common hawthorn flowers, nettle grass, skullcap grass, common periwinkle grass, European wood strawberry leaves.
The preparation has spasmolytic, antihypertension, cardioprotective and antisclerotic effect.

Pharmacological effect: The preparation is non-toxic, does not have cumulative properties and does not cause side effects. Displays spasmolytic, sedative, hypotensive and desensitizing effect. Slows down heartbeat, increases strength of cardiac contractions. Possesses slight diuretic action. Regulates the function of digestive apparatus. Dilates venous vessels of the heart and brain vessels. The preparation has anti-tumor effect.

Indications: for different diseases of the heart muscle, coronaritis accompanied by angina symptoms, essential hypertension, especially for its sclerotic and vegetative nervous forms; cardio- and atherosclerosis, neuropsychic arousal, giddiness;  gastrointestinal diseases (stomach muscles spasm, chronic large intestine inflammations); acute articular rheumatism; throat diseases, tuberculosis, lung emphysema;  uterine and intestinal bleedings. Reduces edemata and is administered for liver and kidney colic, skin rash, derangements of the body salt metabolism, catarrhal conditions. For treatment of peptic and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, spleen diseases, anemia.

Dosage and method of administration: recommended dose is 10 drops 3 times a day to be taken neat or in 30 ml of still non-mineral water 30 min before meals. Treatment duration is 4-12 weeks.
