Description

Astragalus D – herbal capsules, used as a special food additive for different diseases of cardiovascular system, impairment of renal hemodynamics, cerebral circulation and general microcirculation.

Trade name: Astragalus D.

Pharmaceutical form: capsules.

Composition of the herbal complex: Astragalus – Astragalus dasyanthus Pall.; Dioscorea Caucasian – Dioscorea caucasica Lupski; Leonurus cardiaca – Leonurus quinquelobatus Gilib .; motherwort heart (ordinary) – Leonorus cardiaca L .; Hops – Humulus lupulus L.

Pharmacological effect:
on the circulatory system: normalizes the coagulation and anticoagulation of blood system; improves overall and organ hemodynamics; improves microcirculation; normalizes capillary blood flow; reduces the narrowing of capillaries; has hypoazotemic action (reduces ammonia levels in the blood); increases blood clotting time; increases the tolerance of the plasma to heparin; normalizes fibrinolysis;
on cardiovascular system: increases the contractility of the heart; lowers blood pressure; slows the pace of the heart rate; dilates coronary vessels; improves general and intracardiac hemodynamics;
on the urinary system: dilates the blood vessels of the kidneys; increases diuresis; increases renal blood flow and plasma flow; reduces renal resistance; increases glomerular filtration; reduces swelling;
on the nervous system: dilates the blood vessels of the brain; improves cerebral blood circulation; improves tissue respiration of the brain; inhibits vasomotor regulatory centers; has a sedative effect.

Indications:
1. Diseases of the circulatory system and the cardiovascular system:  primary forms of hypertension; cardiovascular neurosis; the early stage of hypertension; angina; kardiosklerosis; myocarditis with symptoms of heart failure I and II degrees; heart defects; heartbeat; microcirculatory disorders.
2. Urinary system diseases: diseases of the bladder; chronic renal failure.
3. Diseases of the nervous system: increased nervous excitability; concussion of the brain; Meniere’s syndrome (in some cases); insomnia; hysteria.

Special warnings: individual intolerance to the components of the preparation.

Contraindications: pregnancy, individual intolerance.

Administration: to be administered on doctor’s recommendations.

Dosage: 1-2 capsules 3 times a day for 10-20 days. If necessary, after 1-2 weeks of break – repeat the course.

Side effects: none.  The preparation is not toxic. Has no cumulative properties and does not cause side effects.
